Turquoise Sky refrigeration products use a 5-stage air purification design called ACTIMECHS (Adsorbent-Chemical Thermal-Irradiative Mechanical Sanitizing). A UV light sterilizes any airborne microorganism, followed by a coarse filter to catch large particulate. The air is forced past significant surface area of activated charcoal ribbon to adsorb chemicals and odours. Finally, the air passes through a HEPA filter to ensure maximum possible purity. Outside of the filtration, the fridge uses aluminium bronze surfaces for their antimicrobial properties, and use roughened surfaces for non-touch interior components due to their lower rate of colonization by microbes.
